I had ambitions to be an entrepreneur but I was too scared to go after it. So my boss gave me 2 months worth of pay and then fired me so I could go figure it all out.
It didn’t go so well the first 2 years and I reached the brink of bankruptcy due to bad investments and poor strategy.
But in 2005 𝙄 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜. I figured out how to build an e-commerce site and rank high in Google, giving me several years of free advertising and top placements in the search engines.
Eventually it became more and more competitive and I couldn’t compete with the Amazon’s and Ebay’s.

I had no formal education, I had just gotten married, and we had just taken in a 1 year old boy that was being abused and neglected by his birth parents.
The only option I could think of: 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙡.
So I looked up the top place to work in Salt Lake and I found a company ranked #3 on the Forbes Top 100 Best Places To Work (Google was #1).
I applied and somehow I was lucky enough to be in the 1% of applicants to get a job!
I learned how to sell without being pitchy, and made the coveted Presidents Club award for 7 straight years (including my first).
In 2020 COVID rocked everybody’s world including mine. I had to have a back up plan.
I started a coaching business. Then built a digital course.
I used LinkedIn combined with my knowledge of marketing and sales to grow an organic following that led to over 1 million views of my content in the first year.
I was given the opportunity to do contract work as a digital marketing strategist in one of the most ELITE coaching programs in the world.

Coaching is the most rewarding career I’ve ever been in, but it is also the most seductive.
People get sold the dream but are left wondering what is wrong with them when they can’t close enough deals to keep them from struggling.
The good thing is you DON'T need to be 'sales-ey' to close deals. You CAN have marketing find leads for you while you sleep. You CAN grow a team to keep you in your zone of genius. You CAN be the person that people think of whenever a conversation comes up about your niche.
